Assessment
We provide different levels of assessment to understand the impact and potential of your product development teams. We work with you to conduct documentation reviews, process audits, and personnel analysis to provide contextualised recommendations for improvement. This activity can span small teams of 2-4 Product Managers or entire organisations of several departments working on many products.
Our assessments may be offered pro-bono depending on your needs and the nature of the work to be done.

Product Operations Optimisation
Improvement of operating processes within companies is usually a low-priority side project. Consequently, process documentation tends to only appear in employee onboarding packs, and even then, tends not to reflect the reality of how the business operates. People learn on-the-job and over time senior managers are expected to manage a group of individuals rather than a unified team.
Product businesses that operate in an unstructured way suffer the costs of inefficiency, duplication of effort, and need to hire more senior people in each role who can operate on their own initiative.
We create tailored processes, documentation, and roles & responsibilities so that your teams speak a common language and understand how to work together to deliver value to the customer. By setting clear deliverables and key result areas, and then managing those, you can spend your time leading your team instead of firefighting and getting stuck in the weeds.
Product-focussed Strategic Human Resource Management
Leaders of Product Development teams often find it difficult to view their department as a business function because they are laser-focussed on their products. That’s why we produce tailored, company-specific Functional Job Analyses (FJA), job descriptions, job hierarchy & career paths, and performance management guidelines.
We benchmark your Product Managers / Product Development Managers competencies and make recommendations for team restructure and training plans. We also provide tactical hiring advice such as interview questions, processes, and general guidance. Please note we do not offer recruitment services.

Coming soon: Training and Teambuilding Workshops
Product Management is an all-rounder role, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t specific. Product Managers often fall into the trap of over-working their strong areas at the expense of others; some are technically knowledgeable, some are hero project managers, and some spend all of their time with the sales team and not enough with the development team.
The number one reason for this is lack of confidence in the Product Manager role. With the right benchmark understanding of the value that excellent Product Management brings, Product Managers are empowered to execute their role rather than filling in gaps.
We offer a curriculum of training courses to help with this, and we also offer team personality and psychometric assessments which help people to work better together.
